Zinnias

In the early spring of 2023, after taking a break from painting various series of flowers by creating a series (BUILDINGS) on an architectural subject, I felt the need to get back to painting a series of flowers. I chose ZINNIAS, one of my favorite flowers. I felt that this multi-petal flower would lend itself well to my love of color and of smooth color transitions. I used the ancient art of stenciling to create this series.
